Disclosed is a system and method for sharing application data with vendors in an online market place to solicit more accurate bids for services.

A market is the economic system through which sellers compete with each other to sell

goods or services to buyers. The market is made efficient through the free and open flow of information between buyers and sellers. In information technology, buyers of Information technology (IT) services will often request proposals from individual sellers in the form of a Request for Proposal (RFP) or other bidding process. Sellers are often hampered by lack of full understanding of the buyer's current infrastructure and the true nature of the effort required to meet their requirements. In essence, the lack of information about the buyer's real needs makes this an inefficient market. This information gap can be improved by providing a marketplace that gives access to rich streams of data contained in log management systems and other resources that give insight into the buyer's current IT infrastructure.

The IT service delivery field is a multi-billion dollar market. Providing better information to vendors can improve the bid process resulting in significant gains in efficiency of pricing and service delivery.
