Abstract

On a PC, user have to use mouse to locate different section of the page. When user need move mouse from the top right corner of the screen to the bottom left of the screen, they need to move the mouse for a long way which is very tough for users. Our inventions will map each section of a screen into all the keys in a keyboard so that user can go to any section accurately by just pressing a specific key. We can regard the keyboard and the screen as 2 big rectangle. By doing so, it's guaranteed that each key in the keyboard can be directly mapped to a section on the screen.

Nowadays, more and more people are using mobile devices. They tend to do all the things on mobile devices like working and entertaining. The fact that more and more people are getting rid of PC is obvious. Compared with PC, mobile devices are easier to use because user can use finger to locate and click different things on the screen. While on a PC, user will have to use the mouse to locate things.

When user need to click 2 items which are located in top left and bottom right when they are typing on a keyboard, user on a PC will need to drag the mouse for a long way to finish the path from item #1 to item #2. Before that process, user will need to make one hand leave the keyboard and use the mouse. We think that process is bad experience for users because it's slow and disturbing.

There is not good way to solve this issue currently, and that situation has been there for many years on PC.

Our invention can enable users to use keyboard to control mouse locating accurately on PC. The core idea of our inventions is to map the keys on the keyboard to the screen areas. Since keyboard and screen are both rectangle, each key can be mapped accordingly. That is to say each area can be access fastly using keyboard key pressing action.
