A Method and System for Providing an Enhanced Feedback Mechanism to Users of Social Network

Disclosed is a method and system for providing an enhanced feedback mechanism to users of social network. The method and system includes a processor receiving a new message from a user. The processor is used to determine a popularity score of the new message based on a likelihood of viewing the new message by recipients of the new message. Further, the processor generates a visual indicator based on the popularity score before posting the new message to the social network.

Fig. 1 illustrates a method flow of a feedback program on a social network.

As illustrated in fig. 1, the method starts at step 102 by identifying a new message created by a user in response to receiving a request from a user of user device 110. The created message is transferred to a feedback program included in the system and processed at step 104 to determine a popularity score for the received new message. The popularity score for the message is created by applying natural language processing to the new message to determine the content of the new message and

applying statistical models to the new message by using user data, group data, message data, and prediction data. In some embodiments, the popularity score for new messages with multiple recipients is determined for each recipient and the popularity score among all the recipients of the new message. Subsequently, after determining the popularity score for the recipients of the new message, the feedback program proceeds to step 106.

At step 106, the feedback program generates a visual indicator based on the popularity score and proceeds to step 108 to determine whether the popularity score is below a certain value. If the popularity score is found to be below a certain value, the feedback program continues with step 110 to generate suggestions to increase the popularity score of the new message. The suggestions may include, but need be limited to, adding content to the new message, such as text and other media such as pictures, audio or video and the like. Thus, after generating suggestions the feedback program continues with step 114 to send visual indicator and suggestion to the user. Conversely, if the popularity score determined at step 108 is not below the certain value, then the feedback program continues with step 112 by sending visual indicator to the user.

Further, the feedback program continues with step 116 after sending visual indicator to the user. At step 116, the feedback program monitors to determine whether user made any alters to the new message before posting the message. If the feedback program founds that the user has made alterations to the new message, then the feedback program goes back to the step 104 to determine a new popularity score based on the content of the altered new message. Conversely,...
