Abstract

A method and system is disclosed for presenting relevant advertisements based on a user’s surroundings.  The method and system tracks audio from the user’s surroundings and matches the audio with one or more advertisements.  Accordingly, relevant advertisements are rendered presented to the user. 

Description

Traditional targeted advertising systems and methods provide targeted advertisements to a user based on a context of the user.  However, traditional targeted advertising fail to consider surroundings of a user while providing targeted advertisement.  This limits the effectiveness, personalization, and/or flexibility of the targeted advertising.  Therefore, there is a need to accurately render relevant targeted advertisement to the user.

Disclosed is a method and system for presenting relevant advertisements based on a user’s surroundings.  The method and system tracks audio from the user’s surroundings and matches the audio with the one or more advertisements.  Accordingly, relevant advertisements are rendered presented to the user.
