Abstract

This disclosure propose a method to unlock the screen of mobile device by shaking device without finger touch and design visible UI model in the screen to record moving pattern of device. This method is based the existing gravity sensor and acceleration technology of mobile device. Two visible UI models are proposed in this article, but not limited to these two.

usually type number password or draw Sudoku pattern using our fingers to unlock a mobile device. But in some situations, it is not Finger-friendly, for example, person wearing gloves, fingers disabled person or large scale touch device.

This disclosure propose a method to unlock the screen of mobile device by shaking device without finger touch and design visible UI model in the screen to record moving pattern of device. This method is based the existing gravity sensor and acceleration technology of mobile device. Two visible UI models are proposed in this article, but not limited to these two.

When a person wearing gloves or in the uncomfortable environment such as cold, it is not convenient and comfortable to unlock the device with fingers. With our invention, we can unlock the device without fingers touch. Also for large-screen mobile devices since people cannot reach far-away points of the screen with a thumb.

Here is one Scenario for model A including 8 channels.

1. Set up password: Shake device to record ball moving path. A ball is corresponding to one digit of password.

2. Unlock device: In the unlock interface, shake the device left and right and 'rolling ball' would roll along the 'rolling track'. When the ball in the target channel, shake the device down (towards you) and the ball would roll along the channel to the password pool.
