A Device for Connecting and Disconnecting Quick-Connect Hoses in Narrow Cavaties

Disclosed is a device or apparatus for connecting and disconnecting quick-connect hoses in narrow cavities.

Quick-connect hoses are plugged into places a human hand cannot safely fit.

Attempted hand-plugging of these hoses risks potential damage to the connectors due to improper mating, and injury due to pinch points and repetitive plugging at awkward angles. Also, the force required to plug these hoses requires a firm and complete grip of the hose connector, which is not possible in such confined spaces. There are no known solutions to this problem.

The disclosed device stops the person from having to use their hand and allows them to safely attach the quick-connect coupling without damaging anything or risking injury. The tool is handheld, light, ergonomic, easy and quick to use, and self-explanatory. The operator grabs the tool with one hand and slides it into the space provided around the hose. Then the operator pushes the tool toward the quick connect adapter, gently and safely pushing it into place. Figure 1 and Figure 2 depict the device from various angles.
