Disclosed is a system and method to automatically erase message that meet a criteria in a period of time.

During a secure communication, users may wish their text messages to be auto deleted once read and verifiably accessed by a user within a designated set of time. This feature prevents sensitive information from lingering on a device after it is read.

In an example embodiment, messages received by the client that contain information requiring verification for access would automatically be deleted after the initial display

within a specified period of time. The deletion of the message type is controlled by the sender including disabling device capture features that would allow the message to be taken as a screen-shot. The verification for access may be a biometric validation.

This ensures that messages meeting the criteria do not live on a client and are deleted and cleared out within a certain period of time after it has been displayed to the user.
