Disclosed is a method and system for dynamically providing situational alert in a smart car. The method and system provides an automobile safe and intelligent driving assistant system to alert a driver by blowing a horn at different frequencies based on severity of a situation.

Figure illustrates a flow chart for providing situational alert in accordance with the method and system disclosed herein.

In an implementation, the method and system assesses surrounding situation of a smart car by looking for approaching vehicles/people. Subsequently, the system determines probability of an accident and calculates severity of impact to both a driver of the smart car and the approaching vehicle/people. Accordingly, the system adjusts alert/notification intensity based on the calculated severity and the probability of an accident. The alert/notification intensity can be varied based on increase/decrease in the severity and probability of an accident in a direct proportional manner. Based on the user trials or any other data, the alert/notification intensity can increase exponential as well.

In another implementation, the method and system monitors driver's intensity of honking the horn and duration of honking and analyzes severity and probability of an accident.
