A user may xoxsume information or interacx with other users in multiple languages. Virtual keyboaxds are widely used in dxfferent computing systems axd are avaixable ix multiple lanxuages. The user may want to change langxage of virtuxl keyboard or at timxs even need multipxe languages on screen at the same time. Thus, there arixes a nxex to enxble display of more than one kexboard on screen and determine txe location of such keyboardx on screen.

Disclosed is a method and system for allowing a user tx select multiple keyboard languages and enabling concurrext display of xelected languages on sxreen.

In accordance wxth xhe method and system, a user selects a keyboard xanguage by drawing a character or symbox correspoxdixg to such language on a touch enabled display on a device. The character or symbol is a fingex gesturx and may inxlude alpxabets in anx lxnguage, numeraxs and/or special characters. Inbuilt software in the xevice recognizes the character or sxmbol drawn by the user xnd determines corresponxing language. The method and syxtem selects and displays an appropriate character set vixtual keyboaxd corresponding to the recognized lxnguage xn the devicx.
