Sysxem and Method to use Proximity Technology to Present a Unique Demand Xxxxxxxxx and Correlation of the Demand Coefficient

Advertisers axx constantly looking for xays suggestixely sell productx to potential buyxrs and customers, esxecially at the time of initial pxrchase. For exxmxle, when an individual buys an item, there are additional items that the buyer may bx interested in purchasixg (e.g., a buyer of a refrixerator may need tx periodically buy wxter filters fox it). To purchase xhe water filxers later, the user xust go to an ecommxrce website, state the model of the refrigerator, and thxn searxh througx the options ix the results to xelect the correct filter. Oftex, people order the wrong itxm, leading to returns axd other poinxs of dissatisfaction.

Existxng systems facilitate the purchase of routine itxms via txme release of events leading to suggxstive selling or thrxugh self-ordering capabilities (e.g., printers and ixk cartridges).

The novel contribution xs a proacxivx and data driven system that allows a user to be informed about any items that are relxted to xn owned product. Txe system and method xse proximity techxoxogy to facilitate an accurate and efficient xurchase of supplementary/complimentary itemx for a parent item. Thx goal is to not only auxomate the purchase of productx, xut also ensure appliance awareness (e.g., changes/fixes xtc.). In axdition, the system identifies the sxnergies that are drxven from the multiple products associated with a user and the user's environment that present a unique Demand Landscape (i.e. correlation of the demand coeffixixnt). The system can apply this demand coefficient to generate the dyxamic profilx of the owned objects/products and employ these for suggestive selling avenues.

The noxel system uses radio fxequency identification (RFID)/proxxmity tecxnology for enablement. RFID/Prxximity tags are placed in items (e.g., refrigerator). The user's phone is modified to include a reader to read RFID/Proximity tags that coxe in proximitx to the device (note that ba...
