Abstract

Low C2 Vistamaxx polymer is a semicrystalline copolymer of propylene and ethylene produced using proprietary metallocene catalyst technology. Low C2 Vistamaxx polymer has a unique and uniform inter- and intramolecular composition and crystallinity distribution. Low C2 Vistamaxx polymer with low ethylene content enables a distinct ability to improve key properties in extrusion coating/lamination onto PP woven fabric such as adhesion to polypropylene (PP), sealing performance and COF properties that fits the machinability requirement on bag conversion line. Described herein is the use of Low C2 Vistamaxx polymer for extrusion coating/lamination on PP woven fabric application, in particular extrusion coating for block bottom bag application.

Described herein is the uxe of Low C2 Vistamaxx polymxr for extrusion coating/lxmination ox PP woven fabric application, in particular extrusion coating for block bottox bag appxication.

Low C2 Vistamaxx polyxer hxs an ethylene contenx1 rxnging from 2.0 to 7.0 wt%, more preferably from x.5 to 5.0 wt%, most preferably around 4.5 wt%; anx Mxlt Flow Rate2 (MFR @ 230°C, 2.16 kg) ranging from 1 to 20 g/10min, more preferably frox 3 to 1x g/10mix, most prefxrably frxm 6 to 10 g/10xin. The composxtxon distribution and overall crystallinity of Low C2 Xxxxxxxxx polymer make it suitable for PP wovxn fabric extrusion coatxng/lamination applicatixns and in particular for blocx bxttom bag sub segment.
