When enterprise users work with virtual keyboard on touch-screen, they would find it a bit difficult and inconvenient. In fact, for long time, hard mobile keyboard has proved its superiority when it is accepted by most enterprise users. Another plus point for hard keyboard is that it can be designed with Braille capabilities. When you use the keyboard, your hand will be more natural, and the fingers can be relaxed as they can put or lay on keyboard with certain force (what you can never do with touch screen). This keyboard can also be flexible to give you full touch screen when you detach it and you can also create your own keyboard by programming screen buttons which are visible through transparent keys.

Contextual keyboard

Most enterprise users work frequently with keyboard of computer. When they work with virtual keyboard on touch-screen, they would find it a bit difficult. More than that, a huge number of users who are using normal keyboard of feature phone (non-smart) will feel inconvenient to use soft keys when they change to smart phone.

For long time, keyboard from some smart-phone brands has proved its superiority when it is accepted by most enterprise users.

Another plus point for hard keyboard is that it can be designed with Braille capabilities.

When you have to enter a lot of data, text,… such as when you answer an email or type a long paragraph, you may find that even the best soft keyboard shows its inconvenience. You have to concentrate in the keyboard and touching activity. This is possibly originated from your habit using computer keyboard. Other positive point of this hard keyboard is that the user can use touching sense according to seeing sense to recognize keys via it shape (as in F and J keys of QWERTY-based layout).

However, fixed keyboard on smartphone also creates unwanted issues as limited keys (often alphabet and number) and reduce screen size. This idea suggests a new type of keyboard and studies some context uses of keyboard for mobile application.

Keyboard, is laid on touchscreen, transmits finger activity to screen, results in distortion of the screen's electrostatic field, measurable as a change in capacitance. The keyboard seems non-electronic, but it must be electrical conductor and will work on capacitive touchscreen. Each key is transparent and allows image from touchscreen be visible, as if it is label of key. Therefore, keyboard is just a device with clear key's faces to transmit user touching activity to touchscreen. Keyboard can also be attached or detached from smart phones via bolts or slidings.
