A method and system is disclosed for rendering one or more advertisements within an application on a mobile device during a time-window when the content of the application gets refreshed.

Description

Disclosed is a method and system for rendering one or more advertisements within an application on a mobile device during a time-window when the content of the application gets refreshed.

Consider a scenario when a user requests to update content of an application on a mobile device.  The user can use features such as pull-to-refresh or swipe down to trigger a request to update the content of the application.  In accordance with the method and system disclosed herein, one or more advertisements are rendered within the application while the content of the application gets updated. 

In an exemplary implementation, the one or more advertisements are rendered in an area of the application which is yet to receive updated content.  Rendering of the one or more advertisements is stopped as soon the updated content is available to be displayed within the application.  In an implementation, the user is also provided with an option to stop the rendering of the one or more advertisements after a pre-defined time period.  For example, the user can stop the rendering of the one or more advertisements after waiting for 3 seconds.
