Abstract

Add a shape memory alloy wire that when energized pulls the latch out of position thus permanently disabling the lockout. This disabling function can be controlled through settings on the EPROM and controlled through the generator user interface. This significance of controlling this at the generator is it requires a conscious action on the part of the user. The cost of adding this functionality would be minimal but would be a delighter top the energy device users.

The bipolar sealing device employs a lockout where the Knife cannot be thrown without the activation of energy. There is a subset of bipolar Users who do not like this lockout and want to be able to cold cut without energy.
