Abstract

This document reveals compositions applied as skin care mousses/ foams by an aerosol with propellants for personal care and/or cosmetic use. These compositions comprise selected polymers which act as a thickener and/or solubilizing agent and/or emulsifying agent and/or dispersing agent and/or stabilizing agent and /or foam booster and / or foam stabilizer and/or film forming agent and/or act as an agent to adjust and/or modify rheology and/or viscosity of said compositions and/or provide especially other beneficial properties to said compositions like pleasant foam quality and sensory during application and/or after application and/or during and/or after use, e.g. a compact / creamy foam with pleasant and caring skin feel during application that leaves a smooth, soft, velvety residue on skin. These polymers can improve spreadability, wetting, affinity to biological substrates like hair, skin or lips, improve stability during storage, improve stability of the mousse/ foam quality after application. In the attached formulations in this paper the pH-value of the resulting formulations have to be adjusted to pH 6.0 +/- 1.0 using suitable alkaline agents such as Aminomethylpropanol or Sodiumhydroxide or Potassiumhydroxide or Triethanolamine or Tris (hydroxymethyl) aminomethane.
