Disclosed is a method and system for notifying oncoming vehicles about parked emergency vehicle and a possible accident area. Here, the oncoming vehicles are notified by using a means equipped in the emergency vehicle, which may

include, but need not be limited to, radio communication, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee and the like.

The method and system transmitting alert/notification to the oncoming vehicles may disclose that the emergency vehicle is parked in proximity and working an accident scene. Here, the alerts employed to transmit signals can be a visual indicator, audio indicator or a combination of both. The visual indicator alert can be a flashing of interior car lights, a flashing of the radio interface, a flashing of a specifically installed visual device and the like. Similarly, the audio indicator alert can be a series of tones from a specifically installed device, the silencing of radio transmissions and replacing them

with a tonal alert, or any other sort of audio indicator and the like. Further, the alert received by the oncoming vehicles may slow down the vehicle and proceed with caution.

Further, the method and system of transmitting the alerts/notifications to oncoming vehicles in a predetermined distance can be determined based on technology employed to implement the transmission process. For instance, the alert can be suggested to oncoming...
