This invention is to add infrared detector and environment monitoring sensors to vehicle, and trigger life environment monitor while the vehicle being locked and there is living thing in the vehicle. While the environment becomes dangerous to life, taking proper action for saving life or informing the driver. Recently the news of children dying of possible hyperthermia after being left in locked cars has shocked people. A valid and effective method to avoid the tragedies is required.

This invention is to add infrared detector and environment monitoring sensors to vehicle, and trigger life environment monitor while the vehicle being locked and there is living thing in the vehicle. While the environment becomes dangerous to life, taking proper action for saving life or informing the driver. And the monitoring items about environment in vehicle include but not limited to temperature, oxygen, poisonous gas, light, sound and so on.

Fig.1 is a flow chart of this method. And the steps, how the system works, are as following.


1. The system is initialized when the vehicle is lock.

2. An infrared detector starts to search if there are living things in the vehicle.

3. If there is no any living thing in the vehicle, the system is closed.

4. If a living thing is detected, the system continues to monitor the environment in the vehicle if threat to life.

5. The monitoring items about environment include but not limited to temperature, oxygen, poisonous gas, light, sound and so on.

6. If a life-threatening emergency appears, the system takes urgent measure immediately according to user preference.
