Disclosed system makes use of computing wearable device to detect disease outbreaks or epidemics. There are already many wearable devices which could in the near future monitor a person's physiological data, if system can collate all the data and then try to do analysis, system can detect outbreak of diseases much quickly. Currently health care system takes couple of weeks to get their data aggregated , which would delay the process and also would delay the supply chain process of commodities like medicines, water purification tablets etc to the right place. If in the future wearable devices could collect physiological data and help health agencies identify epidemics before the outbreak, it could save countless lives.

Currently health care systems declare any disease as epidemic when health care identifies few cases of that disease and then monitor the rate at which it is spreading and apply statistical model over it, eventually health care declare it as epidemic. Consider the case where group of people start showing up similar behaviour with respect to some of the data like body temperature, heart rate etc. even before they are actually diagnosed with some disease or other. By closely monitoring these data, system can predict the danger even before it shows up. System needs to do analysis on a daily basis. With computing costs coming down drastically , something like this could very well be possible in the near future.

Disclosed system uses a combination of data collected from wearable devices and

mathematical models applied on the data collected with respect to the symptoms of the epidemics.

The system consists of wearable devices worn by the population which transmit the physiological data to central repository maintained by health agencies.

The system consists of a central repository of data collected from wearables maintaining the physiological data of the population being monitored
The system also consists of a symptoms repository which contains the symptoms of the epidemics being tracked.

The system assumes presence of connectivity between the wearable devices and the central repository via some form of communication channel.
