The mass production of electronic devices such as smart phones, tablets, laptops, etc. and associated subcomponents, which are ubiquitous forms of communication, begets common issues across devices. For example, a faulty batch of device storage subsystems can fail in a similar ways for many users. Another example is that a device

storage system can reach a mean time to failure (Hazard Function). When device storage faults occur, the data in a particular region may not be retrievable, and if the fault occurs across the entire device, then all data is lost.

To find a solution to a problem caused by a device fault, users often post questions to other users via Internet discussion boards and other fora. Often, other users experience the same problem with an electronic device, but none has a solution.

As users of electronic storage devices consume and increasing amount of data, the

wear and tear on device storage mediums is expected to increase. With increased data usage, a system is needed to ensure the safety of a user's system and personal data.

Existing systems do not provide a mechanism for end users to optimize device storage in such a way as to mitigate against device storage address failures. Prior art references systems for predicting device storage failures with mitigation of moving the data to another device; however, there is no art related to moving data within the storage medium areas known to have a very long mean time to failure. There is no art around the device-wide failure of moving the data to online backup.
