Management User Interface Supporting Decision Making using Single Page Application Approach

Current management user interfaces (UIs) show dashboards and tables to provide filtering methods for huge amounts of information. The UIs allow managers to monitor, administer, provision, and configure information.

Typically, a user configures data in the UI through a dialog/wizard and focuses on the form of changing configuration. Parts of those configurations are based on decision making. The UIs provide combo boxes or tables with information about each option, from which the user makes decisions and selections or performs filtering.

If the user wants to look at report information, statistics, or relationships between objects in the environment, there is no

way to do that in the same screen with the form. The user needs multiple tabs/interfaces in order to make decisions and perform the desired actions. Current applications provide different contexts for configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting views.

The novel contribution is a management UI that provides the all the information a user needs, in one screen, in order to make configuration decisions. The UI is comprised of:

1. Table with a strong filter to find and select objects, sortable by any property including forecast in order to plan better while deciding
