Driver Mood Assistance System

While driving, many situations can alter a driver's mood. Some of those mood changes can lead to detrimental effects such as taking unnecessary driving risks, increased stress level, etc.

New wearable technologies allow users to alter a current mood by attaching a head-mounted device. The proposed solution uses this existing technology, combined with a set of sensors and triggers, to detect situations in which it is beneficial to alter a driver's mood.

The novel contribution is a system that processes data from a set of known sensors to detect conditions such as the vehicle moving slower than a permitted speed (e.g., in traffic jams) or driver drowsiness. The system then uses the mood-altering device to stimulate the driver in a beneficial way. For example:
