Abstract

Mobile phone market has significantly grown over the past few years. While the mobile phone manufacturers are coming up with updated models and features almost every quarter, on the flip side there are also several pain points a consumer experiences while handling the phone. One of them for example almost every person using a mobile phone would be experiencing is space crunch in the message inbox. To overcome this, phone manufactures are providing with extended memory space and compatibility to extend your memory. While this could temporarily solve the issue of bloating inbox, you would still not like to want unnecessary messages growing in your inbox. Apart from personal messages, a lot of marketing related messages flood your inbox and its upto the user to manually read through them and delete them.

Proposes is a solution where in the messages are flagged and deleted from the sender itself based on the email content itself following few basic rules, thus avoiding manual intervention from the mobile phone user. There is proposed handling of any type of messages whether watsapp or sms etc.

Take a simple example where messages like account balances, or status messages, order confirmations, railway or air tickets are sent to the users mobile. Once the user sees the message he/she can pretty much delete it right away.

The solution is to smartly perform actions related to purging/archiving/moving etc data in any mobile phone.

Lets consider a use case. In a rail way ticket booking, user books a ticket on Railway reservation portal and the portal sends the ticket information in the form of a message to user's mobile phone. Once the Date of Journey gets over, that ticket message is no longer useful to the user. The system will check the Date of Journey (DOJ) as parameter with current date. If the application found that the date has been passed, it will prompt user that this message is no longer useful for the user and whether the person wants to delete it? If the user wants to retain that message in his/her inbox then no action will be performed else necessary action will be performed on the message.

Advantage:

1. The content based deletion is a much smarter as the user normally wants to classify and take action of messages based on the content-with-time and not really on time alone.

2. Method is helpful to everyone and particularly to less tech-savvy people who has less knowledge of mobile phone functions.

3. It will also help the non-smart phones which usually comes with limited space.

4. It will save space related issues in mobile memory.

5. It causes auto cleanup process and hence results in mobile optimization.

Following is the work-flow of how this system works

Example:
A) Railway / Airline ticket booking scenario past the date of journey => can be deleted /archived
B) Account balance information which gets sent every day or week or month => ca...
