Abstract

In the current email system we have to download the documents (attachments) manually, sometimes this may also lead to missing them due to email deletion. In SaaS world, continuous delivery is the norm. Which means every 2-3 weeks there could be a Production release. Along with it a release document is published. This additional feature leverages the email system to download the release documents (which are as email attachments) automatically from the inbox. The system would have a rule configured to save/download the attachment(s) based on the subject which the email is received in the inbox. The subject of the document (attachments) should be driven by specific keywords which are to be used while configuring the rule and also we can configure the path of the folder while creating a rule for saving the attachments.

System for saving email attachment (s) to Private or Public cloud drive

Current Problem: In the current email system we have to save attachment(s) manually. Sometimes this may also lead to missing them due to email deletion.

Proposed Solution: In order to work with the system in a better way, we are proposing a solution which works automatically in saving the attachment(s) without any manual intervention either to a Private cloud (like Connections/File application) or Public cloud (like Google drive).

This is related to an automatic save/download of email attachment(s) and also auto deletion of the attachments from the inbox.

Advantages:
The main advantage of the system is attachment(s) will be saved/downloaded to a configurable folder automatically without any manual intervention.

This system allows users not to lose the important information which are coming in the form of the documents (attachments), if he accidentally deletes the attachment. Automatic delete option of email attachment(s) from the inbox after a certain configurable time along with a certain configurable size, helps to reduce the size of email account.
