The method and system is disclosed for automatically customizing a video (for example, a tutorial) by replacing compute device (such as computer, virtual machine) specific content in the video with a target compute device.

In accordance with the method and system disclosed herein, the system takes a snapshot of content of a video and reproduces the content using information pertaining to surroundings and layout of a new environment of a target compute device. The information pertaining to the new environment includes, but not limited to, depth, color, shades, shadow effects, and movement flow.

The system takes a snapshot of the content of video and recreates one or more steps to reproduce the content on the new environment, so the system can monitor and determine the applications or processes required to rebuild the content on the new environment.

The system takes an input video as input and processes is the input video. Using monitoring capabilities (used in existing image to text converters) the system takes in text and images. The system is also configured to translate the text to an alternative language. The mouse movements are monitored and can be circled or highlighted during reproduction/recreation. The system determines flow of content through multiple applications and analyses the relationships of all applications required to get from start to finish.

The system logically maps the content and confirm to a user if the system understands the steps or if there are gaps in the analysis where the system is unable to determine subsequent steps.
