PROTECTION DEVICE FOR COMPONENTS

The present invention relates to a protection device for components e.g. for vehicle components such as air nibbles and the like. The aim of the present invention is to prevent close contact between cables and components since these cables often contains corrugated tubes which might damage the components.

A common problem today is that cables and wire harness are in close contact with vehicle components and that these components might be damaged since they are exposed to chafing, heat and vibrations due to the cables. An example is corrugated cables which might chafe against air nibbles causing air leakage if the air nibbles are damaged. Another example is hydraulic hoses containing hot fluid which might cause damage to the air nibbles or other components.

It is therefore desirable to have a protection device for preventing close contact between the cables and the components.

Fig. 1 illustrates an example of the protecting device. The protection device has an inner part (1) and an outer part (2), wherein the inner part is essentially annular shaped. The inner part is mounted around the component. The inner part has an inner annular profile (3) preventing the protection device from moving out from the component and wherein the inner profile has a smaller inner radius compared to the rest of the inner part.  

The outer part is also essentially annular shaped besides from an opening (4). The shape of the opening is preferably elliptic but can be of any suitable shape such as U-shaped. The elliptic opening can take e.g. two cables...
