BACKGROUND OF THE DISCLOSURE AND TECHNICAL PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED
In past decades paddle wheel propulsion have been used commonly mainly in river going ship. Currently paddle wheel have not been used in modern ship or boat propulsion due to following problems:
a) Paddle wheel has to be mostly in air to minimize the "counter rotation" emitted forces and only small part is in the water.
b) When small part of paddle wheel is in the water, practically only a paddle, it will make paddle wheel very sensitive to weather and mainly meaning waves. Ships is no more able to proceed in sea with certain waves. Also draught is affecting to how deep paddles are in the water.
New proposed paddle wheel propulsion system is located under the ship hull. It solves problem of variable immersion. Immersion means the dimension from the inner edge of the paddle to the water line when paddle is in bottom position.
Paddle wheel of proposed system shown in figure 1. is located mostly inside the compartment inside the vessel and only partly extruding the ship base line. Compartment is filled with pressurised air to eliminate the counter rotation losses of the paddle.

Paddle wheel, gearbox and motor or many motors per wheel can be completed as one big block attached to the ship hull that have compartment accessible from inside the vessel.

Paddle wheel is placed under the ship shown in figure 1. Paddle wheel efficiency decreases dramatically when it is dipped too deep. To get best efficiency dip should be as constant as possible. That is why paddle wheel should be in the air pocket. Because wheel
