Disclosed is a method and system for filtering of pre-bid traffic for online advertising in real-time.  The system helps in minimizing/filtering low quality and/or machine-generated portion of bid requests from SSPs and/or ad exchanges.  The method assigns a traffic score to each bid in real-time (pre-bid).  The traffic score is used to block/filter machine-generated (Bot generated) and fraud traffic.  Further, the traffic score can also be used as one of the parameters for optimizing the bids.

Disclosed is a method and system for filtering of pre-bid traffic for online advertising in real-time.  The system helps in minimizing/filtering low quality and/or machine-generated portion of bid requests from SSPs and/or ad exchanges.  The method assigns a traffic score to each bid in real-time (pre-bid).  The traffic score is used to block/filter machine-generated (Bot generated) and fraud traffic.  Further, the traffic score can also be used as one of the parameters for optimizing the bids.

The system includes a real-time-filtering module and an offline data-mining module as shown in the Fig. 1.
