Abstract

In our daily work, we always receive the mass emails which include a certain number of recipients in the email group. For senders, such email group is created to make it easy for mass emails, however, it will bother the recipients in a sort of spam if wrongly selecting the groups. Here's one real case, someone wrongly selected the mail list that contained a bunch of people, hence all unrelated people in the email list would inexplicably saw this emails nothing to do with him/her, what's worse, a few recipients would like to reply to all to request being removed in the list, which spam others in several times. Currently there is no detection method for such spam sent from the company email address, it's worthwhile to design the detection technique to get rid of such spam.

We have not found the spam detection for emails at work, especially emails sent by the company email address. In order to prevent the spam for the mass emails at work, we propose the method to automatically detect the potential spam on the basis of recipients' number, collaboration history and organization chart.

Considering the recipients' number, collaboration history and organization chart, if if one email is regarded as spam, there is one dialog box popping up to ask the sender/recipients to double check. In this way, it will alleviate the spam email from the creation of the senders to the reply/forward of the recipients. Without spam detection, both sender and recipients would trigger the spam.

With the proposed spam detection method, it would alleviate the spam in the whole process of email send and forwards.
