Abstract

A smart way is used in this disclosure to adjust video player stickiness based on individual behavior: Once user try to farword a video, the system will get and analyze next scenario to identify its class with the scenario classification table, map next scenario with user preference that is the well-defined behavior table. If the scenario can be matched, resist the video fast forward to pause at the scenario. And if not matched, push the video fast forward to next scenario.The disclosure adjusts stickness according to users’ selection, even provide different stickness for different users although same video and same scenario.

When watch a video, currently, the options available for user to adjust video progress are "rewind", "forward" or "drag the progress bar" to skip some redundant or non-fond scenarios. But most time, during the process of quickly locating we may skip the scenarios, persons or items we interested or the video still is in the redundant scenarios after adjust. There are no system providing us a helpable location to skip the individual redundant scenarios and also avoid missing the moments user desire to see.

A smart way is used in this disclosure to adjust video player stickiness based on individual behavior:
1. Simple drag or fast forward on a playing video to move the progress bar


2. Map the skipped scenarios with user preference


3. For scenarios in user preference, enhance video player stickiness to resist video fast forward to pause at the desired scenarios.


4. For scenarios not in user preference, reduce video player stickiness to push video fast forward to skip them.


5. User preference is self-learned basing on individual behavior, and it can be update manually by individual.

Then users can avoid missing the desired scenarios and skip redundant scenarios.
