Abstract

When driving a car, the driver has no better ways to know the driving habits of the cars nearby. This disclosure discloses a method to gether real-time driving data from the cars nearby, send the data to a central server, the server will then gether static data of that car, calculate its danger coefficient and send a warning message to driver. So that the driver will know the danger coefficient of the nearby cars and take preventive measures.

A smart car-

When driving a car, the driver has no better ways to know the driving habits of the cars nearby. If there are some crazy/strange drivers nearby, he or she can not get any early warning until being affected by those crazy cars. One single way is to observe carefully and make a judgement on his or her experience.

Such situations include, for example:

1.A nearby driver is driving faster than he/she usually does.

2.A nearby driver is always driving faster and changing lanes frequently.
3.A nearby driver always accelerates rapidly and brakes suddenly.

4.A nearby driver is very tired after continuous driving for a long time.

This invention is built on automobile communication system and extends its feature to analyze the danger coefficient of the nearby cars, this working system includes:

1.When driving a car, there is a real-time car-warning module that communicates with server.

2.The car-warning module contains 3 sub-modules:

1). Information gathering and sending sub-module;

2). Danger coefficient calculation sub-module;

3). Driver warning sub-module.

3.Within a certain range(for example: 100 meters), real-time recognize cars.

4.Per request, car-warning module sends real time driving data (velocity, Biological Agent Warning Sensor signal, etc) to a remote central server.

5.Server connects to other servers (e.g.: insurance company's database, traffic management authority's database) to get history driving data of the car (e.g.: accidents information and traffic violation information).

6.Server calculates the danger coefficient of that car.

7.Server sends danger coefficient to warning module.

8.The warning module then shows a warning to the driver.

The advantages and benefits of this method and system include:

The system can warning a driver about the dangerous drivers nearly and let the driver to take preventive measures(for example: change a lane) to stay away from trouble initiatively.

The whole communication system is safety.

Below is the detailed description of this disclosure.

Each car to join the smart car-warning system needs to install the customized warning module. The warning module can connect to a car's On-Board Diagnostics system to gather real-time data and then send the data to a remote server.

The warning model starts to work when a car is started. It firstly registers itself to a remote server by sending its identify information to the server and shows nearby real-time cars on screen. It will also real-time gather the driving data and send the data to a server.

Each driver can set his or her preferred parameters for calculating the danger coefficient, the parameters includes but not limits to:

1.The factors for calculation, e.g.: over speed, rapid acceleration, frequency of changing lanes, accident number, and traffic violation number.
