This disclosure aims to achieve single-hand operations on mobile phones. In this disclosure, the moblile OS uses a statistics algorithm to indentify hot zones in mobile screens, and automatically arranges the application icons to these areas according to the frequence of utilization.

To improve user experience, the screens of cell phones become larger and larger. Most users are accustomed to perform single-hand operations on screens; however, some screen areas are hard to reach with one hand. Under this circumstance, two-hand operations have to be performed, which brings great inconveniences to users.
The following picture shows a mobile screen as an example of how easily users can touch the mobile screens. Users can touch the green area with the most natural finger movement but have to stretch fingers with strength to touch the yellow area. For the red areas, users cannot touch them under the single-hand mode.

With this disclosure, yellow and red areas will not be reduced or eliminated; however, they are rarely needed to be touched/clicked by users in most cases so that single-hand operations can be performed at most time.
Figure 2 shows screen hot zones. When mobile manufacturers design screens, they must consider the distribution of these zones and decide what screen size is easy to read and operate. However, even for the same screen, as different people have different hand size, screen hot zones varies. The disclosure implements an algorithm to determine the specific screen hot zones for a specific user.
