Method and System for Reordering Jot List of Items Based On Average Path Followed by People in a Venue

Usually, users randomly jot down a list of items such as, for example a grocery list, on a device such as, but not limited to laptop, mobile phone, tablet, PDA etc. Thereafter, while shopping in a venue such as, but no limited to, supermarket, stores, mall etc., the users have to scan the whole list from top to bottom multiple times to ensure that nothing is missed from the list in the aisle the users are currently present in. There needs a method and system that can automatically reorder the list of items on a user's device based on the average path followed by people in the venue.

Disclosed is a method and system for reordering jot list of items based on average path followed by people in a venue.

In accordance with the method and system, a user's device automatically retrieves the venue's location, layout and the average path followed by people in the venue. Thereafter, the jot list is automatically reordered on the device and presented to the user.

Alternatively, the venue's server extract the jot list from the user's device and reorder the jot list based on the average path followed by people in the venue and present it to the user.

In a scenario, the jot list can be ordered based on one or more parameters such as, but not limited to, product location, latest changes in the stocking of the venue aisles, and current budget of the user.
