Abstract

Nowadays, many people are easier to miss their destination station when they are in a bus or subway, also easier to miss their phone calls when they ride a bicycle or drive their private cars. If you're afraid to miss your station, you can install an APP that will remind you when you're close to your station. If you're afraid to miss any important calls when you ride a bicycle or drive your car, you can turn on shake and ring with highest volume or set up auto-answer and hands free opened for cars in advance. But there are sometimes that you forget or are bored to set up and operate manually.

This invention provides a solution that is able to solve these problems well. First, it provide a method of auto-detecting the types of vehicle, including bus, subway, taxi, private car and non-motorized vehicle, once the type of the vehicle is determined, subsequent operation will be performed. For example, if the vehicle is bus or subway, then it will set up a reminder to let you know what next station is. If the vehicle is a private car, it will automatically set up auto-answer and hands free opened, no interactive operations any more.

Preferably, the system consists of a vehicle detector and service provider. Vehicle detector collects user's profile data such as the speed, position and route, and determine the type of vehicle based on certain rules predefined. Once the type of vehicle is identified, the subsequent service will be delivered according to user’s previous behaviors.

This invention mainly consider following common vehicle type in city:

Following is the a generic detect rule, other than these, it will also need to consider many specific condition which will not be covered by the following rules. This invention will not describe the detailed exception and solution here because they are not the main points. it is just mentioned here that following is a generic rule which will illustrate the main idea.

Before user take a vehicle, they will be in walking or static status and the speed of people will be less than 10 kph. The detect will start when detecting user's speed suddenly change from less than 10 kph to more than 10 kph. The detect will last 10 minutes and all the factor will be recorded in this 10 minutes for following detect method (the avg speed calculation do not include stop time)

At first, consider speed:


If 10kph <= avg speed <= 30kph in 10 minutes:

The smart phone will automatically execute the following operations after the vehicle type is detected:

If non-motorized vehicle: Initially turn on shake and ring with highest volume

If Sub-way/Bus: Initially Remind station 1km earlier before the vehicle arrive the next station with notification and shake. If the phone is on stand-by status, it

will also tune ring with highest volume.
