Motivation

While discussing about a job\candidate search criteria in various Job Boards\other systems, realized that there is no system that will suggest job seekers about the required additional skills along with his or her primary technical expertise. Finding information about secondary skills (along with primary core competency) is important for a candidate to plan on acquiring additional skills in order to grow in his\her career path within\outside the current organization or same location or different location\city\state\country.

Proposal


• An analytical system (similar to Market Basket Analysis) that determines that most preferred additional skill in the job market with respect to the job seekers primary skills. This system would feed from multiple Job boards\Social networking sites (such as LinkedIn..) and analyzes the required skills data from description of all open jobs.


• Upon selecting a primary skill and demographic\Organization\Employer, this system would list preferred skills with corresponding number of jobs having this skill as preferred.


• This would also enable the job seeker to know how many other job seekers are competing in that particular demographic who have already acquired that skill.


• This system would also suggest the job seeker about the most preferred skill for him\her based on the existing jobs having this requirement and number of job seekers who acquired same set of sub skills...
