In future use of autonomous vehicle will be increased. It is also talked about that by 2030 driving vehicle will be illegal. So every vehicle should be autonomous vehicle. Traffic jam will continue to be a one of the major problem during driverless vehicle ecosystem. If vehicles are not running with optimum usage of road layout then more time will be required to pass same number of vehicles. We have a huge opportunity to optimize the road usage layout and this will improve traffic flow and will reduce the traffic jam. Following diagram (Figure 1) talks about road usage layout. Un-optimized road usage layout will increase more traffic jam and less amount of traffic flow. As per the Diagram with proper usage of road layout, same number of vehicles can be accommodated with same road length. In this case L1 > L2

Proposed is a method and system by which

1. In any driverless vehicle ecosystem, the participating vehicles will be arranged in such a way that unused road space will be as minimum as possible, so that same number of vehicles can be accommodated in shorter road length. This will increase traffic flow.

2. To maximize the road usage area, the participating driverless vehicles will communicate all possible vehicle parameters to cloud server, and accordingly each vehicles will adjust speed, spacing, position so that road usage area can be maximized.

3. The cloud server will cluster the vehicles in different of the road, and software will dynamically calculate the traffic waiting time for different direction, and accordingly the vehicles in each cluster will be communicated.

4. The cluster formation of the vehicles will be done in such a way that traffic waiting time is minimum. Software will also consider the emergency vehicles, VIP vehicles while creating the cluster of vehicles

Novelty

1. Based on the vehicle parameters and distance from the traffic junction, the driverless vehicle ecosystem will proactively arrange the vehicles in such a way that road usage area is as maximum as possible nearer the traffic junction

2. The cloud server will cluster the vehicles considering the maximum waiting time in the traffic jam and waiting for cluster to complete.

3. The number of vehicles in any cluster will be calculated dynamically and it is depends on various factors
a. Traffic situation in any road
b. Number of priority vehicles
c. Traffic situation in other side of the vehicle
d. Maximum waiting time in the traffic junction etc
