Abstract

This invention presents a passive voting system for real-time dynamic message broadcast by using language preference of nearby population to determinate weight, display order and frequency with configurable interval. The language preference data will be collected from multiple sources silently. This invention will then analyze the data and prioritize the display sequence or frequency of the translation content.

Digital display systems (ex. Electronic marquee, Time Table, Digital Billboard) are widely used in public transportation areas, such as airport, train, and bus stations. The messages displayed were normally in one or several pre-defined languages without knowing the language preference of the people in a certain area. Hence, the benefits of public digital display systems would be very limited, especially in the tourist cities where visitors are coming from everywhere in the world. This invention is to increase the public message readability and efficiency by providing a smarter dynamic displaying method based on nearby population language preference detection and prioritization.

This invention presents a passive voting system for real-time dynamic message broadcast by using language preference of nearby population. For example, the language preference data can be collected from the settings on viewers' mobile devices. This invention will then analyze the data and prioritize the display sequence or frequency of the translation contents.
