Abstract

The method proposed is a one stop Online Self-assessment portal for End to End Release management as a bundled Kit of its parameters. Service Excellence Framework is to identify the current maturity level of the engagement and provides Best in Class service delivery methodologies, Gaps, Best Practices, Service models and enables to drive deep service transformation across the practice. INTRODUCTION

Need for the present method evolved due to the following aspects:

a. Assessment approach for the each dimensions mentioned above was lengthier and took long time to complete. b. Challenges by moving the assessment excel sheets to the portal.

c. To initiate the assessment process, team would schedule the date and time based on the availability of assessor and the project lead.

d. Offline assessment based on the excel sheets and collecting the data by assessor.

e. Assessor to analyze the inputs and provide the results which takes more time to get the results.

f. In-transparency during assessment is observed which can be overcome if instant result is given to the user.

g. No standard service maturity framework to assess the overall service maturity of the engagement

h. No standard solution accelerators with valid proposition for the engagement to move the next level

i. No standard tool for accessing all the permutation and combinations (40) of end to end release management and publishing the results instantly

OVERVIEW

The method proposed is a one stop online portal for self-assessment of Release Management projects. Every time a new customer in Release Management (hereafter referred to as RM) is on boarded, a release management assessment is handled by SME's (subject matter expert) for Release Management. The SME in the client environment do the assessment, identify the gaps and recommends the best practices which is a manual process by interviewing the client and sending questionnaire and follow up discussion which on an average consumes 4-6 weeks. This method not only automates the assessment in the method of Average weighted score using graphs to
