Method and System for Automating Multi-Screen Display Arrangements

Disclosed is a method and system for automating multi-screen display arrangements. The method and system automatically identifies arrangement of display screens for a given set of display devices. The set of display devices can be such as for example, array of monitors for data display, gaming devices, synchronized devices for a movie play, distributed display devices (mosaic), etc.

In accordance with the method and system, automation of multi-screen display arrangements is achieved in one or more

ways such as by using, a centralized video machine, or a heads-up display (smart glass) device, or an on-screen tracking camera, or by tracking mouse pointer on at least one device.

In a scenario, figure 1, illustrates a heads-up display device (wearable smart glasses) that assists in automating multi-screen display arrangements. The smart glass worn by a user takes snapshots of monitors of multiple computing devices and send the snapshots to the primary computing device for analysis. The primary computing device determines the snapshot content obtained from the multiple computing devices and identifies location of each display in field-of-view using a computer vision technique and automatically derives display arrangements.
