Abstract

A method and system is disclosed for augmenting targeting content such as, but not limited to, advertisements (ads) based on inferences drawn automatically from third party ad marketplaces.  The method and system matches and co-analyzes ad creatives from the third party ad marketplaces with engagement and context data of a user obtained from a first party ad marketplace in order to infer targeting data signals.

Description

Disclosed is a method and system for augmenting targeting content such as, but not limited to, advertisements (ads) based on inferences drawn automatically from third party ad marketplaces.  The method and system matches and co-analyzes ad creatives from the third party ad marketplaces with engagement and context data of a user obtained from a first party ad marketplace in order to infer targeting data signals.

FIG. 1 illustrate the method and system for augmenting targeting content in a first party marketplace based on inferences drawn from one or more third party ad marketplaces in accordance with an embodiment.

As illustrated in FIG. 1, the method and system enables a first party ad marketplace publisher platform such as, but not limited to, an application or a website, to receive a content request from a user.  The method and system, then, analyzes the user’s engagement data from the content request.  Further, the method and system also collects the user’s context by utilizing cookies on the website.

Thereafter, the method and system accesses the one or more third party ad marketplaces to obtain ad creatives from the one or more third party ad marketplaces based on the user’s engagement and context data obtained from the first party ad marketplace.  In order to obtain the ad creatives for the first party ad marketplace, the method and system captures one or more ad creatives served by the one or more third party ad marketplaces.  The method and system, then, co-analyzes the one or more ad creatives and the user’s engagement data obtained from the first party ad marketplace in order to infer campaign targeting data signals for augmenting the first party targeting data when offline.
