Authors and readers of literary works sometime diverge in preference with respect to v ocabulary, grammar, style, and plot objectives. An electronic book that is configurable

to a reader's tastes could be compelling in the market.

This article describes an article and method for a reader-configurable book (and other electronic media) where the reader may set preferences for vocabulary, grammar, communication style, and plot/theme and ending preferences. The method and associated system effect static or dynamic reader adjustability in the readable form of a document (preferably a literary work).

In a preferred embodiment, the media is electronic to facilitate interactive alteration of the content. In another embodiment, the user can configure the system to yield a hardcopy version utilizing Print on Demand (PoD) and equivalent approaches. In addition, the system might include an application(s) for e-mail, text messaging, and chat messaging services in addition to electronically reading (eReading) documents.

Algorithmically, the reader can configure (or reconfigure) the book for:

• Educational level • Native language • Profession • Entertainment • Character Names • Grammar Configurability
• Parts of Speech/Sentence (e.g., absolute phrases, adjectives, adverbs, determiners, clauses, complements, conjunctions, objects (direct & indirect), interjections, nouns, phrases, predicate, prepositions, pronouns, subjects, verbs and verbals (i.e., infinitives, participles, and gerunds))

• Style Configurability • Characters
• Voice

• Genre • Humor
• Adult language

• Plot/Theme Configurability
• Reader adjusted plot, theme, endings (deltas from author based plot, theme,...
