In many places there is a restriction that window of the vehicle should not be dark. It has to be transparent so that local traffic police can see who are in the vehicle. Different places have different level of transparency requirement, and at the same time the level of transparency is depends on the current context.

Proposed is a method and system by which

1. Transparent device will gather location based rule from central server and accordingly the transparency of the display will be changed automatically.

2. The transparency level of the display can be changed based on date and calendar timing. Device will query the central server for spatio-temporal policies defined in the server for various user profiles. Based on these policies, transparency level of the display gets changed.

a. For example, during public event day, the transparency level of any transparency has to be 100 %, but in any other normal day the transparency level can be 40%.

3. The transparency level of the display can be changed dynamically based of identified dynamic context. Based on current location and time, central server determines various contexts and changes transparency of the glass accordingly. Dynamic context can also be determined using sensors installed in the car and suitable policies could be applied.

a. For example, if the any accident happens, or any VIP person comes in the place, then transparency level will be changed automatically to 80% or more.

4. In Step 1,2,3, based on standard rules configured in the server, transparency policies gets applied. But, every user might have different preferences/likeliness towards these policies. So, our invention also learns user's behavior/responses to these standard policies and does adaptation personalized to user's in the vehicle.
