System and method to auto generate a transparent and unbiased rating for an item in an e-commerce website

Today, there are multiple websites available to purchase things. Many times, users get confused on what items to buy from which website. Usually, users buy things based on the lower pricing of items and reviews. Also, it is very disappointing for a user when an order gets cancelled after few days. In general, not many people write reviews about their online shopping experience for an item. Only when they have a very bad experience, they write reviews.

Recent statistics say that 55% of shoppers see the online reviews and that influence their buying decision. But the reality is not many of them write reviews or give ratings about their online shopping experience for that particular order whether it is delivered within the expected time, delay in delivery, order got cancelled immediately or after a week, order quality, website tracking tool status in providing enough information, website quality, transaction failures, customer care cell reachable or not, about the messenger in the website, queries posted to customer care cell answered or not, etc. By using some metrics, the website system should automatically generate a transparent and unbiased rating for the online shopping experience. It is good if this unbiased system generated rating is published by the retailer in the website online. Also, the rating can be used internally by the retailer to improve the website shopping experience there by, retain and attract more customers.

If this rating is generated by a third party application, then it is very useful. The third party application should monitor all e-commerce websites and generate a rating. This rating should be independent of "user rating" because sometimes, the website owner himself provides false rating. When a user searches for an item to purchase online, then the "system generated" rating should be shown, so that a user can decide which website is reliable to buy specific items.

The feature disclosed provides a way for the e-commerce website to "not wait" for users to write reviews and automatically generate a rating in their website based on the below metrics.

Consider a website where rating 1 star is poor, 2 star is fair, 3 star is good, 4 star is very good, 5 star is excellent. x is website, n is proposed days of delivery, z is the value to be decreased from 5 stars. Initial value of z is 0. The value of z can be 1, 2, 3, 4 and ensure that z doesn't increase beyond 4. Final rating
is r. Here, y is the hours the experienceId is retained for the customer in case of website errors, b is the business days the bank should correct the failures in transaction. B differs for International customers and national customers.

The feature calculates the score based on the below parameters for an e-commerce website:

1. Delivery status : Order got cancelled by retailer(rating 1), delivered within n days and order in good conditi...
