This invention is based on a cognitive algorithm checking in calendars for current and planned user activities in order to determine and schedule the best time to start any update or reboot of the system.

A problem which occurs frequently on our computers is that a reboot alert can be launched whilst we are performing an important or urgent activity (coming conf. call, presentation, training, etc.).
As shown in fig 1, when a reboot is requested, the solution is checking all the user's calendars in order to understand what he or she is currently doing. Then looking to a cognitive database, to determine if the reboot is or is not acceptable.
The cognitive database, will learn about user habits and profile in order to base reboots and updates not only on time and dates but preferably on user activities.
The overall idea is, when a reboot or specific update is requested, to check all the user calendars and determine what he or she is currently doing.
