Problem Statement

Managing files which are scattered within different zip attachments in your mail server/archives is difficult

As an end user you will continue to add information in the form of attachments in your mail server. These files can take many types of forms, like media files, text files, image files etc.

User will need details on relations between the files present in the compressed attachments among multiple mails, to be able to find the correct files, in order to create a new compressed attachment based on semantics of mail he/she is writing.

Some problems:

Users keep on accumulating attachments in the mail server.

There are many files that you have not seen for over months/years.

You wont remember the content present within the compressed attachments in your mail server.

The problem is to determine the files from your previous mails, which you may want to add to your compressed attachment by understanding the semantics of your current mail.

Need for New Solution: The proposed approach will leverage the already existing relevance algorithms combined with information on semantically related file which may be added as an attachment in your mail.

There is proposed a method, system and computer program which can capitalize on the analyzed mail based on the existing techniques and help you create new compressed attachment (i.e. Zip file) by considering the semantic relations between the files which you have received in previous mails.

Provisions:


1. Provision of extracting zip files received in form of email attachment and automatically creating new zip files on the fly.

     -- Above facility would be based on existing technique of building relations between zip files or building relations between the files and the email contents.

2. Based on above, provision of manual extraction of zip files to create a new zip for a new memo.

Consider following scenarios:


1. A SLM receives a plan in form of worksheet(s) and ppt's for the product(s) under his ownership from the high level management who take decisions sitting across the globe. SLM has 4 FLM's reporting to him. User received 2 zip files in which User has 4 spread sheets in 1 zip and 4 ppts in another zip. Each product under his ownership has 1 FLM who should receive 1 relevant worksheet and similarly 1 relevant PPT from those zip files. What's the natural course of action? The SLM either has to send all the zip files to all the FLM's...
