Abstract

Currently , mobile user use various LBS(Location Based Service) service , the recommendation is always based on current static location, this kind of recommendation is the shortest way but is not best way for user. This invention use trajectory patterns analyzed from the trip history of the vehicle, the POI(Points of Interests) recommendation/navigation experience can be improved by recommending the POIs along the probable trajectory the user is travelling to avoid unnecessary/wasted driving.

Problem
Currently , mobile user uses various LBS service, the recommendation is always based on current static location. The problem for this kind of recommendation is the shortest way is not best way for user. For example, on Monday morning, one is driving to office and needs to go to fuel his car. There are two gas stations nearby. One is the nearest gas station (Point A in picture below), but he needs to turn around in heavy traffic. Another is farther (Point B in picture below), however it's along the road and direction of his trip. So it's more convenient and time-saving.

By using the trajectory patterns analyzed from the trip history of the vehicle, the POIs recommendation/navigation experience can be improved by recommending the POIs along the user's probable trajectory to avoid unnecessary/wasted driving.
