Abstract

3D is emerging trend covering a lot of areas in life. In the past, the wide use of pantograph tool support people in making objects. People can copy any 3D object in short time thanks to that kind of 3D tool. Recently, the demand to digitalize objects is becoming high, and the normal tool to use is often 3D scanner. However, scanning uses laser and that may harm people skin or eyes. The disclosure intends to combine smart pad with touch screen (here called "spad" for short) and pantograph machine to make a tool for digitalizing, as scanner. This tool is cheaper than 3D scanner but can record 3D points exactly.

Recently, many sectors need 3d surface of human or things. However, it is often based on scanning with laser. This solution is quite expensive.

Sometimes, we need a really cheap solution which is easy to implement.

More than that, if we apply laser scanning on human face, it may harm our eyes or skin. This disclosure intends to suggest solution to solve problem mentioned above.

This solution bases on physical mechanism and smart pen to record movement in order to re-create surface. It is quite simple solution, it bases on an ancient tool used to capture object, so-called pantograph machine.

In fig 1, ABDC and DEGF is frame with rotating joints.

A and G can slide on AG, this AG can rotate around D. D is firmly attached to right edge of spad. Fours edges of ABDC are the same, and four edges of DEGF are the same also.

As C, B, E, F can move (rotate), so if we slide G on AG, A will slide also on AG.

If we slide G to an angle to AG (but still on surface as spad surface), A will slide as AG can rotate around D.

All these movement is on 2D face as of spad face.

If we put G to direction which is 90 degree to spad face, the spad can rotate basing on firm frame (as spad is door, and we can open and close the door). This is vertical frame.

We can see it clearly on fig 3.

So all the movement of G will be reflect on movement of A, but it is about 2D face.

We use other firm frame which is 90 degree to vertical frame, and this is fixed on ground.

A string connect this horizon frame to right edge of spad. There is L ledge, where the string goes through a fixed hole on right edge of spad. One end is connected to horizon frame, the other end is connected to a spring.
