Abstract

A solution to resolve the problem of "overlapping" and "disordering" when copying both sides(the front and back) of a card or something else on one side of a printing paper by single-side copy machine. however. Our solution is to make one marker at one side border of printing paper as reference flag, which can help to distinguish the direction of paper.

An enhanced printing paper capable of identifying direction

In our life sometimes we need to copy both sides(the front and back) of a card or something else on one side of a printing paper by single-side copy machine, however, this may cause the trouble of "overlapping " or "disordering"(as show in Fig2 and Fig3) as most people maybe have a problem to decide how to put the printed paper back into the duplicator after one side is copied . It will cause a waste of paper.

Our solution is to make one marker at one side border of printing paper as reference flag . The marker should avoid to be at the middle of the side(should close to one end of that side). This marker can help to distinguish the left and right , front and back direction of the printing paper, so when someone prints 2 sides of a card on one side of a printing paper by single-side copy machine, he can place the printing paper back to copier by just simply aligning it according to the marker on the printing paper.

For a normal printing paper, there are 4 options to put the paper back which will make 2 major mistakes. The correct result is Figure 1 and the unexpected results are described as figure 2 and 3(Other mistakes are small probability events, not discussed here):
