Disclosed is a method and system for providing health projection as alerts to a user by utilizing augmented technology. The method and system scans a nutrition fact table on a food package and utilizes the existing augmented reality technology to generate an actual nutrition content present within the food package. The actual nutrition content of the food package is displayed on the user's device, such as, but not limited to, smart

wear applications, smart wearable devices and other smart phone applications which are integrated with the augmented reality technology.

Consider a scenario, wherein a user is buying a food package, which may include, but need not be limited to, a package of potato chips and the like. The user utilizes a smartphone integrated with the augmented reality technology to scan the nutrition fact table on the food package as shown in FIG.1 below

As illustrated in FIG. 1, the method and system detects servings per container information printed on the food package and displays an overlay alert message along

with the actual nutrition content present within the food package as depicted in FIG. 2 below.
