Disclosed is a method and system for suggesting carpooling with trusted relationships.

The method and system integrates analytics and social network to collect users' information, users' connections and users' preferences to select a best carpool plan option for an individual. The method and system analyzes an individual's social activities, calendar information and social media messages for suggesting carpooling options to the individual. The method and system saves the carpool requests/requirement of the individuals on a database. The carpool request includes options to allow individuals for both sharing a ride and finding a ride.

In an implementation, the method and system searches for potential carpool partners on the social platform for users to share a ride. The user who wants to share a ride can post a ride requirement on a social platform. The social platform allows the user to search for carpool partners by entering the ride information based on user preference/criteria. The ride information may include, but not be limited to, user's pickup, user's drop destination, user's profession, company information, taxi/personal, cars/rental cars, user interests, gender, social connections, some circle of separation and the like. The user may further select the ride sharing costs options such as maximum/ minimum cost the user is agreeable to pay, using cash, card and/or electronic wallet. Thereafter, the user searches for various carpool plan options with potential carpool partners and selects the best carpool plan option that fits the user preference/criteria. The user then confirms the carpool plan with the carpool partner. Finally, the user can later post the carpool experience by providing feedback on the carpool experience and can also rate the carpool partner.
