Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a novel process for the synthesis of liraglutide by fragment synthesis, wherein the fragments are synthesized by solid phase synthesis approach. Liraglutide is synthesized by coupling the fragments in solution phase and also by coupling the fragments in solid phase peptide synthesis.
